Ways to Give

The Colonial Pennsylvania Farmstead was founded in 1973 by a team of individuals deeply interested in preserving the lifeways, crafts and skills of colonial Pennsylvanians. We continue today to educate visitors about a way of life that is slowly being forgotten.

Our mission is to educate, but our wish is to inspire—to inspire creativity, a love of nature, an appreciation for hard work, and the joy of working as a team to ensure success and survival. There are many ways you can support our mission.

Matching Gifts

Many companies recognize the value of their employee's contributions and will match gifts to nonprofit organizations, doubling your impact at no additional expense to you! To get started, please contact your company's HR department. If your gift is eligible for a corporate match, please direct your matching gift form to director@colonialfarmstead.org.

Many companies also offer online matching gift processing, which requires no form or donations via payroll deduction, allowing us to receive your donation and corporate match in one lump sum. If your employer can't make a monetary match, they might be interested in volunteer opportunities and/or corporate sponsorships with CPF.

Donor Advised Funds

CPF is pleased to accept contributions from your Donor-Advised Fund. You can donate to CPF from your DAF using our online donation form or through your fund manager. If you have or plan to create a donor advised fund, you may name the Colonial Farmstead as a final beneficiary to receive the balance of your account.

Appreciated Securities

Donating appreciated securities has unique tax advantages. When you donate securities you have held for more than one year, you avoid paying capital gains taxes while still receiving a tax deduction for the fair market value of the donation. To give a gift of securities, please ask your broker to contact the office at office@colonialfarmstead.org or 610-566-1725 to alert us of the transfer and to receive appropriate account numbers.
