Celebrate the season’s bounty with a festive day honoring 18th-century traditions of gratitude, labor, and community. Rooted in English agricultural customs brought to colonial Pennsylvania, Harvest Home marked the successful gathering of the year’s crops and the turning of the season toward autumn.
Last admission at 3 PM.
Tickets are $14 for Adults, $10 Children, and $7 Members.
Coffee Nation: Book Talk with Michelle Craig McDonald
Come join us in our historic farmhouse for a book talk with historian Michelle Craig McDonald. After the talk Colonial Pennsylvania Farmstead will do a brief colonial coffee brewing demonstration and discuss the history of coffee houses in 18 century America. Talk included with purchase of site admission. Pre-registration to reserve your spot recommended.
Lantern Ghost Tours: Wicked Elizabeth Wilson
Experience the haunting tale of a local crime and tragic loss.
'Wicked Elizabeth Wilson', is a theatrical firelight tour around the Farmstead of one of the most heinous crimes imaginable. In the year 1785, Elizabeth Wilson of Delaware County was accused of infanticide and put on trial. Some say she fell in love with the wrong man, and that he actually committed the crime, then threatened her into silence. You will have the chance to hear her story and decide at her trial. Either way her case, unresolved to this day, changed the law forever...

Sandy Flash and the Trail of History Book Talk with Gene Pisasale
Join the Farmstead in welcoming local historian and author, Gene Pisasale, present his 12th book, Sandy Flash and the Trail of History, bringing to life the intertwined history and lingering folklore of Chester and Delaware counties. Discover the fascinating history and legend surrounding James Fitzpatrick ,a Revolutionary War soldier turned Loyalist highwayman, known to locals as "Sandy Flash" who terrorized southern Chester County in 1777–1778.
Enjoy a presentation by Pisasale in the Farmstead’s historic farmhouse, followed by a Q&A session and book signing.
Registration is requested to reserve a spot. Registrants are welcome to arrive early and explore the site prior to the presentation. Book talk is included in regular site admission. A perfect complement to the Farmstead's Lantern Ghost Tour performance.
